Sicko (2007)

I am giving "Sicko" a positive judgment because it accomplishes what the totally arrogant and totally necessary Michael Moore sets out to do, which is to make viewers feel ill over the state of U.S. health care. But I hated the experience of watching this documentary, hated seeing mothers and wives talking about babies and husbands who died for lack of medical attention; hearing about a man who had to chose which finger to sew back on based on the price tag; watching a confused old woman get thrown out of a cab which was hired by a hospital to dump her outside their high-priced walls; and learning that the inhumanity of the U.S. system is either a laughing stock or a horror show to people all over the world, depending on their general point of view. Most of all I hated being reminded that I live in one of the most socially oppressed, essentially undemocratic nations on Earth and take it lying down. Heaven forbid I ever need to do so in a hospital bed.
